Synopsis The Coptic Gospels, which are said to be written in the voice of Mary Magdalene, are the source of this volume, which contains the gospels as well as commentary on them by French scholar Jean-Yves Leloup. The Coptic Gospels, discovered in Egypt in 1945, seem to rehabilitate the Magdalene, who traditionally has been seen as a prostitute.
