Movie Description
Macaulay Culkin goes bad in this story about a boy who tries to eliminate his family members one by one. Elijah Wood, who has gone on to an impressive career as an adult, costars. Audiences should see the 1956 movie, THE BAD SEED, for an interesting comparison.

Synopsis
After his mother dies and his father goes to Japan on a business trip, eight-year-old Mark is sent to live for a few weeks with his cousin Henry and his family. Although Mark is initially happy playing with Henry, he soon begins to suspect that all is not right with the seemingly innocent-looking young boy.

Film Notes
Macaulay and Quinn Culkin are siblings in real life as well as in the film. A third Culkin, Rory, can be seen as Richard in a photograph featured in the film. Culkin's father reportedly refused to allow Macaulay appear in "Home Alone 2" unless he was given the role of Henry in "The Good Son."

Filmed in Cape Ann, Massachusetts; Two Harbors, Minnesota; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Filming began November 19, 1992. Color by DeLuxe. Panavision. Titles and opticals by Jerry Siegel Eastern Optical EFX.

Animal action was monitored by the American Humane Association. No animals were harmed in the making of this film. A prosthetic animal was used in some scenes.

Released in the USA September 24, 1993.
