Movie Description
The story of how the Navy's Seabees, a construction worker-fighting unit, were formed. Wayne stars as the foreman of a work battalion close to enemy lines and Hayward as the reporter/love interest. A very popular war picture, also available in a colorized version. Academy Award Nominations: Best Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture. Fiftieth Anniversary Edition includes a reproduction of an original lobby card and two b&w behind-the-scenes photos, and is digitally remastered from the original film negative.
