Synopsis This uproariously funny picture book by Neil Gaiman, the creator of the popular SANDMAN comic book series and author of the novels NEVERWHERE and AMERICAN GODS, draws its audience from his immense adult fan base as well as from children new to his work. The nameless narrator covets his friend Nathan's goldfish, and offers to trade his dad for them. Once his mother discovers the exchange, however, she orders her son and his younger sister to reverse the transaction. Unfortunately, Nathan has already traded the boy's dad for an electric guitar, and the guitar's previous owner has traded him for a gorilla mask, and....The scratchy, collage-like illustrations are by Dave McKean, a frequent collaborator with Gaiman on comic books and graphic novels.
