THE COMPLETE ELLA FITZGERALD SONG BOOKS contains eight songbooks (in chronological order) by Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Johnny Mercer. This box set, which coincides with the Verve label's 50th anniversary, comes with a 48-page clothbound book with interviews of Verve founder Norman Granz and arrangers Buddy Bregman and Paul Weston conducted by John McDonough. All the original artwork is reproduced as miniature albums including the inner sleeves and original liner notes. Also contains previously unreleased bonus tracks.
