Synopsis A traumatized African-American boy becomes the foster child of a white couple in a small Vermont town. The boy is befriended by an elderly neighbor who teaches him about the Buffalo Soldiers, an all-black cavalry unit active in the late 19th century, and helps him to come out of his shell.
