Movie Description
Martial arts legend Sonny Chiba, famous for his brutal and unseemly style of karate, stars in THE BODYGUARD. Chiba returns to Japan from New York and declares that he will take down the drug runners that have overwhelmed the country. As a first step, he offers to protect anyone with information pertaining to the activities of the cartels. His first client is Judy Lee, a mysterious woman who claims to have insider information about drug shipments. Now Chiba must protect the woman from drug-ring assassins while investigating both the cartels and his charge's inscrutable motivations. THE BODYGUARD features Chiba at his most fierce, and was directed by exploitation filmmaker Simon Nuchtern, who was involved with the notorious SNUFF.
