Movie Description Before he was Cliff Huxtable, legendary comedian Bill Cosby crafted another refreshingly intelligent and warmhearted television series with THE BILL COSBY SHOW, the comic's second television outing (after I SPY) and first sitcom. The series centered on gym teacher Chet Kincaid (Cosby) as he offered sometimes comical but always positive guidance to the students at an inner-city high school in Los Angeles. Though it lasted only two seasons, the late-'60s series offered realistic, character-driven plotlines that captured its era's black-consciousness zeitgeist and set the standard for Cosby's later sitcom offerings. This collection presents all 26 episodes of the beloved series' debut season, which featured guest appearances by Lou Gossett, Jr., Henry Fonda, Cicely Tyson, Elsa Lanchester, and Wally Cox.
