Movie Description In an attempt to see what his life would be like if he hadn't fumbled the ball during a critical game in high school, a former "could have been" athletic star arranges to play on the team once more -- in a game against the same rival.
Synopsis In the glory days of high school, football star Jack Dundee blew the most important game of the year, when he fumbled and caused his team to lose to their fiercest rival. He has never recovered from this disaster -- in fact, Jack seems to live his life under a dark cloud from which he cannot escape.
Recently, things also haven't been going so well for Reno Hightower, the quarterback on Jack's former team. He just can't recapture the good times he had back then.
As if that weren't enough, both men hit a new low after their fed-up wives end their marriages. So what are they to do? Replay that bungled game, of course! That way, Jack can rid himself of the failure that haunts him, and Reno can become a hero once again.
Will taking to the football field really solve their problems? Or will they find themselves caught in an instant replay of the past?
Film Notes Film was originally rated R by the MPAA, but won a PG-13 rating on appeal.
