Synopsis
Sidney Lumet directed this fun-filled, action-packed caper in which Sean Connery plays a thief named John Anderson who has just been released after spending 10 years in jail. It isn't long before he takes up with his old girlfriend Ingrid (Dyan Cannon) in her posh apartment. When he makes plans to rob the entire building, he doesn't know that his every move is being recorded on audio and video tape, although he is not the subject of any surveillance.

Film Notes
The building that figures prominently in the plot is actually the Convent of the Sacred Heart on East 9th Street in Manhattan's East Village. The rest of the film was also shot in New York City.

Producer Robert M. Weitman was formerly the production vice president for Columbia Pictures. This was his first independent venture.
