Movie Description A quartet of young Canadian classic-auto buffs embark on a cross-country trip, ostensibly to help studious Angie (Allen) clear out the secret marijuana stash grown by her jailed dealer brother. Along the way, however, Angie and narrator/boyfriend
Cole (Meyer) and their competitors Bruce (Busey) and Wendy (Richards) fight, scheme, switch cars and trade insults -- characters in this movie never seem more on-target as when they're putting each other down -- and by the end of this
bad-relationship road movie one of them decides that the only smart thing to do is clear out. Even if the narrative runs out of gas, the attractive young cast make a nice fuel additive. For another regional comedy of car collectors forever switching seats during a long drive, look for the Ohio-made MY NEW ADVISOR.
Synopsis When Angie's (Allen) brother Ben (Woolvett) gets busted dealing pot in Vancouver, she must destroy his stash before the authorities get ahold of it. Unfortunately, she's not the only one in search of Ben's dope--his opportunistic girlfriend Eve (Berkley) and a disgruntled drug lord are also vying for the marijuana. Tearing out of Toronto in a pair of vintage cars borrowed from her boyfriend Cole's (Meyer) car restoration business, Angie, Cole, and their wild pals Bruce (Busey) and Wendy ("Bond Girl" Richards) embark upon a sleep-deprived mad dash across Canada.
Industry Reviews "...Meyer is flawlessly appealing..." Entertainment Weekly - p.86 - Gillian Flynn
