Album Notes Personnel includes: RuPaul (vocals); Lisa Lowell, Sheryll Marshall, Karen Berno'd, Carole Sylvan, Eric Kupper, Trenise Y. Haddock, Betty Cooper, Leon King, Chavonie Cooper, Angela M. Nonetheless, this debut album by the talk show phenom is better--a lot better--and more substantial than it probably had a right to be. Of course, the titular hit is basically just a goof, but it's a good one, and over the rest of the album Ru proves to be more than just a pretty face; in fact, she's a real R&B singer in the grand tradition--check out "Supernatural," which has a great '70s Isaac Hayes/Curtis Mayfield feel, and her terrific cover of Chic's "Everybody Dance" if you doubt it.
