Synopsis Neil Gaiman's charming and romantic fantasy tale features a young man's quest to win the heart of his lady love. Tristan Thorn lives in Wall, named for the stone barrier that runs alongside the town. One evening, Tristan is wooing the lovely Victoria Foster, when they both witness a falling star. Victoria tells Tristan that if he can bring her back the star, she will agree to be his wife. Tristan quickly sets off on his mission, and for the first time, crosses the great barrier beside his town. Once on the other side, he tumbles into an amazing adventure that Gaiman's sharp writing renders as vivid as Narnia or Oz.
