Andy Williams began singing as a child in a vocal group with his brothers who performed hymns over the radio. With songs of faith as his foundation, it's little wonder that his music is infused with spirituality and honesty. SONGS OF FAITH is more than appropriate--it's the essence of Williams at his best.
Few singers have the technique, much less the sense of faith in their stylings to even attempt such songs as "Ave Maria." Williams' innate passion and consistency are just what's needed to make this song heavenly. He has the voice and skills of old tradition. But this doesn't exclude him from contemporary styles of music. George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" is just as easily conveyed by Williams, as he gives it all his sincerity.
