In the world of hip-hop, when Snoop Dogg barks, people listen. The former Calvin Broadus earned this E.F. Hutton-like status simply by being one of the most distinctive original rappers not just on the West Coast, but anywhere. So a compilation featuring artists hand-picked for Snoop's own Doggy Style label should be an attractive proposition to any rap aficionado. Snoop takes a hands-on approach here, putting in guest appearances on nearly all of the disc's 20 tracks.
