Synopsis This SF novel is the second in a complex, inventive series about Dr. Zeus, a company that uses time-travel and advanced technology to create immortal operatives who preserve artifacts in the past so that the Company can collect and profit by them in the 24th century. In this installment, the Facilitator Joseph takes on the role of the trickster god Sky Coyote in order to convince an early 18th-century village of Chumash, a Native American tribe based in California, to accompany him to a Company site where their cultural and genetic heritage can be harvested. During his first-person narrative, Joseph also reveals details from his early life (dating back 20,000 years) and some of the Company's dirty secrets.
