This CD called SKIN DEEP--not to be confused with the Verve Records CD with the same title--contains the same tracks as Louis Bellson's NOTE SMOKING, originally released on Allegiance Records.
Personnel includes: Louie Bellson (drums); Ted Nash (alto saxophone, flute); Pete Christieb (tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet); Don Menza (tenor saxophone, flute); Snooky Young, Chuck Findley, Conte Candoli (trumpet);
Ross Tompkins (acoustic & Fender Rhodes pianos).
Recorded at Filmways/Heider Studio B, Hollywood, California in August 14 & 15, 1978.
