Movie Description A sweeping, six-part BBC adaptation of Sir Walter Scott's rich 1819 adventure novel chronicling the exploits of Saxon knight Wilfred of Ivanhoe following the Norman conquest. Young Ivanhoe's code of chivalry and his rivalry with the corrupt Templar Bois-Guilbert, combined with his conflicted romantic feelings for his intended Rowena and his true love Rebecca, bring him into contact with many of Great Britain's most storied characters, including Richard the Lionhearted, Robin Hood, and the Black Knight. Filmed entirely on location.
