Catherine Tierney is still grieving for her husband, who died on Christmas Eve three years ago. And Christopher Byrne, a widowed Christmas-tree seller from Nova Scotia, is haunted by memories of his missing son, who ran away after a fight last winter. Can Catherine and Christopher, who each face a sad Christmas, find holiday happiness together on the streets of New York City? SILVER BELLS was adapted into a 2005 TV film starring Anne Heche as Catherine and Tate Donovan as Christopher.
