Synopsis David Pelham, a young British surgeon during World War II, parachutes into Yugoslavia and sets up a hospital. Once there, he meets the dynamic Moja Javich, a resourceful partisan. It is her love that shores up Pelham when the atrocities of war threaten to overcome him, and as he seeks to avoid capture.
