Synopsis Prolific mystery writer Robert B. Parker returns to Paradise, Massachusetts, and alcoholic police chief Jesse Stone for a fifth time. Florence Horvath, a sexually adventurous Florida woman, mails off a videotape chronicling her ménage à trois aboard a Miami yacht, the Lady Jane. Sometime afterward, the Lady Jane docks in Paradise, and Florence's waterlogged corpse ends up on the beach. Naturally, Jesse suspects the crew of the yacht, who prove to be less than cooperative with his investigation.
