Synopsis The next installment in the Early Spring saga finds the young Jordan March further plagued by family turmoil. When her cruel and manipulative grandmother, Emma, has a stroke, Jordan is sent is sent to live with her Aunt Francis, an eccentric woman she has never met before. Jordan's older brother Ian has been sent away, and Jordan doesn't know his whereabouts. Forced to enter a new school and begin her new life with the bizarre and frail Francis as her caretaker, Jordan is still contending with the far too early onset of puberty. In the midst of her troubles, Jordan stumbles upon more shocking family secrets, and has to struggle to make sense of her tumultuous world.
