Movie Description
This collection of three vintage Sasquatch movies includes the first science fiction film ever to feature a Yeti. THE SNOW CREATURE (1954) finds botanist Dr. Parrish (Paul Langton) on an expedition in Tibet, when his Sherpa guide claims that his wife has been kidnapped by a Bigfoot. Meeting disbelief from his Western charges, he takes the group at gunpoint and leads them to the cave where a family of Yetis is holding his wife captive, and the scientists are able to capture one of them. En route to the States, however, it escapes, and winds up terrorizing Los Angeles. Then, in SNOWBEAST (1977), a ski resort is plagued by a rash of deaths apparently caused by animal attacks; the sheriff (Clint Walker) thinks that a Yeti is behind the killings, but the resort owner (Sylvia Sidney), protective of her business, unwisely keeps the place open. Ultimately, it's up to a couple of champion skiers (Bo Svenson and Yvette Minieux) to hunt the beast down. Finally, in the docudrama SASQUATCH, THE LEGEND OF BIGFOOT (1977), scientists are combing the Pacific Northwest for evidence of the Sasquatch. They are attempting to separate myth and legend from the truth, but all the stories they've collected does not prepare them for what they find!
