Movie Description Part Three finds Musashi reflecting on his place in the world after winning sixty duels and becoming the stuff of legend across Japan. His young enemy, Kojiro, continues to pursue him, however. While Musashi regrets the death he has caused during his travels and intends to become a farmer, Kojiro thirsts for more and learns the way of the Shogun. The two enemies finally get the chance to meet and settle their score on the small island of Ganryu.
Synopsis Considered the best of Inagaki's epic trilogy, Part Three tones the action down several notches to concentrate on legendary seventeenth century samurai Musashi Miyamoto's inner struggles. Now the winner of sixty duels and revered throughout Japan, he wonders what it is that makes a warrior worthy of admiration--- his number of victories, or something more intangible? His only remaining enemy, Kojiro, meanwhile, has learned the way of the Shogun, and awaits his chance to utilize these methods on Musashi. The chance finally arises on the small island of Ganryu. All loose ends are fittingly tied up in the triumphant third act of this legendary series.
