In Rankin and Bass's RUDOLPH'S SHINY NEW YEAR, Santa has pulled off another flawless Christmas, delivering presents to boys and girls around the world. Fresh from a foggy sleigh ride, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer can rest at last--or can he? The Baby New Year is missing, and with all the haze and flurry from the great snowstorm, Rudolph--with his glowing nose--is the only one who can see clearly enough to find him. Aided by a seemingly monstrous whale and a homely caveman, Rudolph sets out to find the missing Baby New Year. But in addition to the ugly weather, the group must contend with an evil buzzard, Aeon, who wishes to find the Baby New Year and stop time forever by destroying him.
