Movie Description Minor mobster Jack Ruby (Danny Aiello) leaves the Chicago Mafia to open a strip club in Dallas. There, he befriends a young woman named Candy Cane (Sherilyn Fenn), who becomes a friend, confidante, and stripper at his establishment. Though he becomes an FBI informant, Ruby still tries to stay in the good graces of his former mob boss--upholding a dual allegiance that makes him the perfect fall guy--leading him to murder President Kennedy's assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, on live television. This fictionalized biopic offers a compelling portrait of a mysterious player in one of the most continuingly compelling events in modern history.
Synopsis A fictionalized biography of Jack Ruby, the man who killed infamous assassin/patsy (take your pick) Lee Harvey Oswald. "Ruby" offers a compelling, if messy, portrait of a paranoid Dallas strip-club owner, who occasionally did work for the mob, and whose muddled life culminated in one moment of "glory" -- when he shot the man who killed President John F. Kennedy.
Film Notes Color by Deluxe.
