Movie Description
A domineering mother (Ava Gardner) refuses to let Cary (Ray Sharkey), her 36-year-old son, grow up. Although the young man wants to leave home to live on his own, she won't let him. Meanwhile, the woman's weak-willed husband (Anthony Quinn) is powerless to stop her manipulation. When Cary's fiancee (Anna Karina) shows up for an unexpected visit, family tensions come to a boil.
