Album Notes REGGAE AMBASSADORS: 20TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION includes two previously unreleased tracks. Producers include: Chris Blackwell, Third World, Alex Sadkin, Steven Stanley, Niney The Observer. Probably the finest pop-reggae band in Jamaica, and certainly one of the longest-lived, Third World has released an abundance of classic songs. The two-disc REGGAE AMBASSADORS collects 31 of these gems on two newly remastered CDs. The set emphasizes the band's '70s work, a good thing considering the superiority of albums like 1977's 96 DEGREES IN THE SHADE and 1978's JOURNEY TO ADDIS to the group's poppier later work. As a treat for fans, REGGAE AMBASSADORS also includes a handful of previously unreleased tracks, including a throbbing live version of the classic "Jah Glory" and a dancehall-style remix of "Mi Legal." Whether you're a longtime Third World aficionado or a new convert, there's much to explore here.
