Movie Description
Spanish cult director Jesus Franco has directed over a hundred thrillers and horror films, often with Lina Romay. Romay stars (under the pseudonym Lulu Laverne) in Franco's erotic crime comedy RED SILK. She and Christie Levin play a pair of aging female private eyes investigating a smuggling operation. When the two decide to try and profit from the operation instead of reporting it to the proper authorities, things turn bad, and kidnapping and murder ensues. They are now forced to use their wits and feminine wiles to stop the smugglers and turn the situation back to their own advantage. RED SILK has more comedy (intentional, anyway) than most Franco films, but still contains a helping of his trademark eroticism.
