The third full-length from Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae reminds listeners that gangsta rap isn't just for heathens anymore. Backed by an arsenal of hard-hitting beats and a no-nonsense, streetwise attitude, Lecrae spreads his gospel by spitting rhymes as fiercely as a Baptist preacher gives his sermon. Lecrae's confrontational stance leaves little doubt that he's on a mission but, as the rhymes on these thumping tracks reveal, it's a holy mission. REBEL is an impressive notch in the growing genre of Christian rap.
