In the process, they transform their own lives into an extraordinary adventure.
Synopsis The story tells of two imaginative young boys who take refuge from an abusive stepfather and a neglectful mother by creating an elaborate fantasy world.
Film Notes The Radio Flyer conceptualist was Michael Scheffe.
Tom Hanks, who does the narration, was uncredited.
Industry Reviews "...An original....Elijah Wood, in particular, holds the screen -- he has a beautifully inquisitive face, with eyes like liquid marbles..." Entertainment Weekly - Owen Gleiberman (02/28/1992)
"...Evans's thoughtful script and the unclichéd performances of Wood and Mazzello exert a powerful grip. The film stays with you..." Rolling Stone - Peter Travers (03/19/1992)
