Movie Description
Glenn Close narrates this Hans Christian Andersen story of the emperor who is given a gift of a mechanical singing bird, only later to learn that the genuine song of the real nightingale is truly the best of all.
Synopsis
In ancient China, an Emperor finds a small grey bird who sings an enticing song. But when the Emperor is given a fake, bejewelled singing bird, he gets rid of the real one. Only later does he realize that the song from the real nightingale is the one that provides the truest joy.
