Movie Description Directed by and starring two brothers from the de Anda Mexican filmmaking family, Raul Jr. and Rodolfo respectively, PROHIBIDO is a family melodrama not unlike the popular telenovelas (Mexican soap operas). A middle-class family is shaken to its very foundations when the two siblings recognize a growing sexual attraction between them. Enraged, their father punishes them by exiling his son from their home. But while he is away, the son begins to investigate the family's past, and uncovers a secret that his parents have been struggling to hide for decades. Social taboo becomes the trigger for one family's re-examination of itself in PROHIBIDO.
