Movie Description A naturalistic dramatization of record breaking distance runner Steve Prefontaine's struggle to win, culminating in the 1972 Munich Olympics, this film favors documentary-style character development more than conventional "sports film" hero worship. A feature-film breakthrough for director James and co-producer/cinematographer Peter Gilbert (the creative team behind HOOP DREAMS), as well as star Leto, previously known as the hunky Jordan Catalano on TV's "My So-Called Life."
Film Notes Additional Credits: Script Supervisor - Shannon Barrett
