Movie Description A family's ordinary tract home suddenly becomes a gateway for enraged ghosts who kidnap their little girl and take her to their twilight world. Hiring paranormal experts, the family attempts to discover why she was taken and how to get her back. Great performances by all in this deluxe ghost story.
Synopsis Frisky poltergeists put a little excitement into the daily routine of the Freeling family's humdrum lives by moving furniture and communicating with their youngest daughter, Carol Anne, through the television set. Unfortunately, harmless pranks quickly turn nasty and the previously friendly ghosts kidnap Carol Anne, trapping her in the spirit world. To win the child back, the family calls in a team of parapsychologists and a midget psychic who conduct an elaborate exorcism.
Film Notes Additional cast: Michael McManus (as Tuthill) and Virginia Kiser (Mrs. Tuthill).
Filmed in Metrocolor and Panavision.
Film was originally rated R by the MPAA, but received a PG on appeal.
