Movie Description
This Gothic drama, set in the American South, follows the trials and tribulations of young Inez Macbeth (Dominique Swain) as she tries to deal with her abusive husband (Henry Thomas), advances from an unwanted suitor (Arie Verveen), and an affair with a man (James Urbaniak) whom she believes is her true love. In the chaos of competing lovers and rollercoaster emotions, Inez becomes involved in a web of deception, betrayal, and murder, all in an effort to at last experience true romantic happiness.
