Focusing on a couple's disintegrating relationship, the film follows a fractured timeline as it jumps from bitter breakups to drug-fueled reconciliations. J'ENTENDS PLUS LA GUITARE is dedicated to Nico of The Velvet Underground, with whom Garrel was involved romantically.
