Movie Description In J.M. Barrie's tale of the little boy who lives in Never-Never Land and refuses to grow up, Mary Martin is the quintessential Peter. This classic 1954 Broadway stage production first aired live on NBC.
Synopsis The inimitable Mary Martin stars as Peter Pan in this television recording of the hit Broadway musical.
This fantasy begins on the night the forever-young sprite enters the nursery of Wendy, John and Michael Darling and whisks them away to Never-Never land. There, Peter, who so dearly longs for a mother, begs Wendy to take care of him and the other "lost boys", unwanted children who have come with Peter to this magical country.
But not everything is wonderful in Never-Never land -- and the biggest danger of all comes from Captain Hook, the vicious pirate who longs to tear Peter from limb to limb...
Film Notes DVD Features:
