Synopsis
Anthropologist Mary Catherine Bateson shares her new vision of learning through participation. She argues that individuals who shed their familiar habits of learning and actively seek new and unfamiliar experiences with an open mind will lead more enriched lives. She proposes that much of life's meaning lies at the edge of our awareness, much as we see objects with peripheral vision.
