Synopsis
A photographic odyssey into the heartwarming kinship between a baby hippopotamus--orphaned by the catastrophic, post-Christmas 2004 tsunami--and an ancient tortoise in Kenya is told by six-year-old Isabella Hatkoff with the help of her father. Owen the hippo (named after his savior) immediately latched onto Mzee (a 130-year-old Aldabra tortoise originally from a tiny island near Madagascar) upon arrival at Haller Park in Mombosa, and the two haven't been separate since.
