Recorded live in London, OVER THE YEARS AND THROUGH THE WOODS is the first full-length release to capture Queens of the Stone Age live in concert. The 2005 incarnation of the heavy-rock act, led by lumbering frontman Joshua Homme, charges through songs from various QOTSA albums, including the surging "Go with the Flow," the moody "Monsters in the Parasol," the razor-sharp "Little Sister," and the stomping "Burn the Witch." Although this lineup (which includes former Eleven members Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider) lacks the star power of the band's past configurations, its tight interplay allows for potent renditions of Homme's unabashedly head-banging tunes.
