Synopsis A group of kids get together and form a marching band. At first their playing is so bad that it makes all their listeners cringe and cover their ears. However, with a lot of practice, the band is ready to play beautiful music in the 4th of July parade. Color illustrations accompany the rhyming text., When all the girls and boys in the neighborhood take up musical instruments, at first they produce awful tones, but after much practice they are able to come together as a marching band that brings brassy, classy fun.
