Synopsis
Based on Jacqueline Susann's final novel, "Once Is Not Enough" is a glitzy, soap opera-esque tale of people engaged in lives of opulence, extravagance and excess.
The story focuses on the relationship between Mike Wayne, a down-on-his-luck Hollywood producer, and his 19-year-old daughter January. The two are close as close can be, and Mike is determined to support January in the lifestyle to which she's accustomed... even if it means marrying a wealthy woman to do so.
January has her own romantic difficulties, because she's fallen in love with an older man whose career as a novelist is on the skids... along with the rest of his life.
How will Mike, January and an eclectic cast of glamorous New York characters resolve the emotional problems they're facing?
