Synopsis
Old Cricket doesn't feel like helping his wife and neighbors to prepare for winter and so he pretends to have all sorts of ailments that require the doctor's care, but hungry Old Crow has other ideas., Old Cricket is determined to use his age and many imaginary maladies to get himself out of doing any work. However, when he meets a crow who wants to eat him up, Old Cricket learns a valuable lesson about pretending to be sick. Color illustrations accompany the text.
