Movie Description
The story of a wacky librarian who impersonates a New York City policeman in a dance contest. When he unexpectedly wins the competition, the fast-paced comedy begins.

Credits
Cast:Judge Reinhold
Director:Michael Dinner

Synopsis
A cop asks his buddy to take his place at a dance try-out for a policeman's ball. At the audition, the friend meets and falls for a lovely female cop, who mistakes the bashful library worker for a fellow policeman. In order to keep up a front for his new lady love, the shy guy wears the police uniform more often than he should. Soon the lovelorn milquetoast is getting mistaken for a real cop -- and doing his darndest to act as one!

Film Notes
Michael Dinner also directed "Heaven Help Us" and "Hot to Trot." Many award winners and artists of note including Tony-winning actors Joe Mantegna ("Glengarry Glenn Ross") and Cleavant Derricks of "Dreamgirls"; writer Mark Medoff ("Children of A Lesser God"); and National Dance Institute founder and former New York City Ballet star Jacques D'Amboise.

Acclaimed cinematographer Carlo Di Palma ("Blow Up" and "Hanna And Her Sisters"), Meg Tilly, the actress nominated for an Academy Award for "Agnes of God" and Harvey Keitel, whose copious credits include "Mean Streets," "Taxi Driver," "Reservoir Dogs," "Bad Lieutenant" and "The Piano," are also in the film.
