Movie Description Inarguably one of the most important figures in 20th-century American music, jazz impresario Norman Granz introduced live jazz to mainstream audiences with his Jazz at the Philharmonic concert series. This program celebrates Granz' pioneering legacy with a live jam led by legendary pianist and Big Band leader Count Basie. Recorded at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in 1975, Basie is joined by Niels Pedersen on bass, Louis Bellson on drums, Milt Jackson on vibraphone, and Roy Eldridge on trumpet.
