NO JACKET REQUIRED reached number 1 in more countries than you can shake a drumstick at, and shows Collins at his most mature and versatile. 'Sussudio' opens the album with the familiar death-by-drums intro, setting the pattern of strong arrangements and attacking vocals. 'Only You Know And I Know' and 'Who Said I Would' explore this territory with the vibrant assistance of the Phoenix Horns, while the massive 'One More Night' provides an elegant contrast. Surely the strongest track, however, is the elegaic 'Long Long Way To Go', which brought tears to a billion pairs of eyes as one of the highlights of Live Aid.
