Movie Description When star-crossed misfits--he's pathologically shy and she has Tourette's syndrome--meet in the parking lot of a store from which they've each separately shoplifted, they know they're meant to be together. But their inability to fit in compels them to hit the road on a wild odyssey to nowhere. Nuanced, demanding performances lift this one above the more run-of-the-mill "lovers at large" fare. Tunney won the Best Actress cup at the Venice Film Festival.
Industry Reviews "...Gosse brings something new to the genre -- its unlikely lovers....The off-road detours keep the film fascinating. So does Tunney's performance..." -- Rating: B+ Entertainment Weekly - Michael Sauter (08/21/1998)
"...[Tunney's] performance is a tour de force..." New York Times - p.E12 - Stephen Holden
"...The movie contains three strong performances, and subject rarely explored: the affliction of Tourette's syndrome....Robin Tunney is sometimes scary, she's so good at conveying her character's torment..." Chicago Sun-Times - p.39 - Roger Ebert
