Like a Chinese-American version of DORA THE EXPLORER, this animated kid's program from Nick Jr. offers an educational experience that is also fun. Kai-lan is an upbeat and rambunctious Chinese-American preschooler who gets in all sorts of adventures with her friends, family, and animal buddies. The cast of characters includes her grandpa YeYe, who passes on age-old Chinese traditions; Tolee, a koala you can count on; and Rintoo, a tiger who sometimes bites off more than he can chew. Along the way, the gang teach viewers about Chinese culture, some important lessons about life, and even a little Mandarin!
