Movie Description
This comedic drama, set in the Jewish district of Mexico City, follows the family, friends, angels, and miscreants who show up to mourn Moishe Tartakovsky. As they sit shivah for seven days, black sheep, corrupt desires, and buried family secrets come out of the woodwork with a duo of observing angels providing wry commentary on the proceedings (in Yiddish!). John Sayles (LONE STAR) executive produced this film based on the short story by Ilan Stavans.
